Escape from the Rock

Welcome… to the Rock. Brooding in the mists of San Fransisco Bay, tantalizingly close to one of the world’s great cities but also impossibly far away, Alcatraz has become a byword in American culture for isolation and inescapability. Taking Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues” as their theme, the FMP team has crafted a musical tapestry that transmutes the maximum security prison into a place of myth and meaning, a metaphor for the obstacles that cannot be overcome… until they are. Simple, but highly effective props marry seamlessly with costuming and choreography to tranpsort your audience to a harsh world not so far away or long ago and asks them a simple question: “How far would you go… to Escape the Rock?”

Escape from the Rock is part of the Complete Concept Series, which some includes show ideas and optional sound design. There are no plans for a formal storyboard at this time, but contact us or the guys at Total Visual Design for all the ideas we have for this great show.
