Storms test everything: strength, trust, endurance, and unity. Through the Storm transforms the power of a storm into a compelling metaphor for the challenges that threaten to pull us apart—and the relationships that help us endure.

The production begins with gathering tension as fragments of Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 create an atmosphere of uncertainty and unrest. Vivaldi’s “Summer” drives the ensemble into the heart of the storm, where crossing forms, opposing motion, and relentless energy depict struggle, pressure, and resistance. From this conflict emerges the emotional center of the show: a cinematic treatment of “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” representing shelter, trust, and the strength of facing adversity together.

In the final moments, familiar musical ideas return and become woven into a powerful, unified statement. The storm has not simply disappeared; the ensemble has discovered the courage and connection needed to move through it.

With opportunities for fractured forms, isolated performers, visual rebuilding, and dramatic changes in motion and color, Through the Storm offers an emotional and uplifting production about resilience, belonging, and shared strength.

Through the Storm is part of the Complete Concept Series, which includes visual design suggestions and optional sound design.

Repertoire includes: Symphony No. 40 in G Minor by Mozart, “Summer” from The Four Seasons by Vivaldi and You’ll Never Walk Alone.
