Danzón is the official musical genre and dance of Cuba. It is also an active musical form in Mexico and is still much loved in Puerto Rico.  From salsa to ballet and modern dance: Cuba has a diverse history and love of rhythm. This show celebrates the sounds and emotions of this country.  Although “dance” is an integral part of Cuba’s culture and musical style, there are ways to portray the look and feel without experienced dancers and choreographers.  Simple hand and arm gestures and simple lower body choreography will certainly suffice.  If the guard has one or two members with a little more dance background, you may chose to feature them strategically throughout the show.
