This memorable production commemorates the Wright Brothers’ first powered flight on December 17, 1903, near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The introduction and opening movement capture the brothers’ relentless determination as they design, build, and test their early aircraft—always pushing forward, always chasing the dream of flight. The lyrical second movement reflects the moment of doubt following failure, where they question their path before recommitting with renewed resolve. The closer opens with a driving percussion feature representing the repair and final adjustments, building into a triumphant musical ascent that evokes the soaring majesty of their longest flight that day: 852 feet in 59 seconds, rising nearly 10 feet above the sand. The visual potential is substantial, offering countless opportunities for color guard costuming, staging, and prop design inspired by early aviation, canvas wings, tools, kites, and motion through air.

Regional exclusivity will be confirmed with you before delivery. Once verified, all materials will be delivered digitally. XML files are included to assist with any customization you wish to make.
