Rapunzel

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair! Few things are as simple, and yet so complex, as hair, marker of beauty and status, deeply rooted in culture, and tradition, vehicle for self-expression. For this production the FMP team has taken the classic fairy tale of Rapunzel as their starting point for a journey into hair’s suprising meaning and importance, juxtaposing Grieg with Lady Gaga, Debussy with Willow Smith, By turns beautiful and funny, sophisiticated and suprising, Rapunzel is a musical journey your students and audience won’t soon forget.

Rapunzel was commissioned by the Marion High School Band from Marion, Arkansas.

Rapunzel is part of the Complete Concept Series, which includes show ideas and optional sound design. There are no plans for a formal storyboard at this time, but contact us or the guys at Marching365 for all the ideas we have for this great show.
