The Jet Set

The Jet Set

The Jet Set transports the audience back to the golden age of air travel, taking it’s visual cues from the early ’60’s aesthetic made famous by the hit TV show Mad Men. The tail fins of Pan-Am jets form a backdrop to the stage area, immediately bringing the viewer to our setting: a bustling, late 1960’s airport terminal. Guard costuming based upon the retro-chic stewardess uniforms of Pan-Am’s heyday, and optional pit musician costuming based on flight crew uniforms complete the look.

Inexpensive, versatile props designed to resemble period suitcases and other luggage are used in a variety of ways throughout the program, serving as stages to highlight the show’s many musical soloists and frame staging areas for other effects.

For sheer hipness, the jazzy, retro-infused cool of the Jet Set can’t be beat.
